The location is superb...literally a ten minute walk to major attractions i.e Times Square, Empire State Building, Grand Central Station, Central Park etc, so perfectly placed central to all attractions only a few blocks in any direction. You want to check out the open top bus tours " City Sights " you will not be disappointed especially the night tour down to Brooklyn then looking back over the bridge at night to Manhatten stunning.

When you enter this hotel you will notice that you can sit in front of the hotel with the view of St. Patrick´s Church, good for relaxing after whole day, unlike other hotels, where you enter enter straight the reception from the street. 

The staff is absolutely charming from the host that greets you to the bar tenders, the Palace's staff is attentive! Check-in service is efficient and cordial. Speedy elevators. 

Its certainly worth having a deluxe room with views over St. Patricks cathedral. It is nice just to wandering around the property and marveling at the historic architecture. From the oasis of calm inside the hotel from the city noise to the beautiful rooms with staggering views.

The rooms (even standard) are spacious and comfortable. Minibar well stocked and electronic - no need to keep track of anything. Furnishings are traditional, with the exception of the flat screen TV, smallish wardrobe closet, great desk space, two armchairs, side tables and a killer view of the cathederal and the Rockerfella centre. 

What to say about the turn-down service: they get your room ready to sleep, a little chocolate on pillow, your slippers next to bed and all the cushions out, absolute divine beds with excellent Frette linens probably one of the most comfortable you will ever sleep on.

Marble bathroom are small and no dual sinks in sight. Toiletries from Molton Brown are replaced every morning.

When you book the Executive room, you will take advantage of the Executive level, which comes recommended as it offers: delicious breakfast, snacks during the day and wine & champagne on the evening. 

Room service is to die for....have a nice dinner like a New York Striplion and Grand Marnier & Chocolate dessert delivered to your room. it is so much fun to have room service from a Michellin Star rated restaurant while sitting in the comfort of the bath robe. 

Excellent wireless Internet connection is available at an additional charge per night. However if you go to the reception you can be online for free. So everybody is sitting at the reception skypeing facebooking etc. which is a nice atmosphereto have everybody there. 

The room that was formerly the library of the mansion and now is the Guilt Bar, where you can have drinks that are delicious and have some of the bar snacks like cheese straws and spiced popcorn fabulous, try the parmesan and garlic chips, that is by itself worth a visit to NY.  

The upscale restuarant is a study in contrasts between the gilded high arched ceiling tiles and renaisassance paintings and the ultra modern bar.
